Grant County Fair & Rodeo, August 25-29, 2010

The Grant County Fairgrounds is located in John Day, Oregon, just a few blocks north of the downtown area. John Day and Grant County are noted for their diverse outdoor recreational opportunities, including hiking, hunting, biking, fishing, snowmobiling and many others.

The Fairgrounds’ location is central for seeing many of the local attractions. The Kam Wah Chung Museum, the Ranch & Rodeo Museum and the Gleason Pool are within a short walking distance, the Grant County Historical Museum is a little over a mile away, and the Malheur National Forest hiking trails and the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument are within 30 to 45 minutes driving distance..

The Grant County Fair is held annually on the fourth weekend in August.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Grant County Fairgrounds is to provide opportunities in a multi-purpose venue to ensure the citizens of Grant County can participate in a variety of educational, recreational, agricultural, commercial and social activities.
