Welcome to Grant County Fairgrounds

The Grant County Fairgrounds is located in John Day, Oregon, just a few blocks north of the downtown area. John Day and Grant County are noted for their wonderful outdoor recreational opportunities, including hiking, hunting, biking, snowmobiling and many others.

The Fairgrounds is only a few blocks from the Kam Wah Chung Museum and the Ranch & Rodeo Museum, 1.5 miles from the Grant County Historical Museum, 30 minutes from hiking trails in the Malheur National Forest and 38 miles from the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. The Grant County Fair Community Events Center is located in John Day, Oregon and is a vital part of Grant County.

The organization is responsible not only for presenting the annual County Fair each year, but it also manages the Community Events Center on a year-round basis to serve the needs of both local organizations and groups outside the area.

County Fair Mission:

The mission of the Grant County Fairgrounds is to provide opportunities in a multi-purpose venue to ensure the citizens of Grant County can participate in a variety of educational, recreational, agricultural, commercial and social activities.

The Grant County Fair Community Events Center is is comprised of several buildings and outdoors facilities located on approximately 26 acres just north of the downtown area.
